1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to League Meister ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the League Meister platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services.

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (such as a sports club, league, or association), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Service Description

League Meister is a sports team and league management platform that provides tools for:

• Team and roster management
• Game scheduling and results tracking
• Player registration and profile management
• Communication between coaches, parents, and players
• Credential and qualification tracking for staff
• Media storage including team logos and profile photos

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Age Requirements

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. Users under 18 may only use the Service through accounts managed by their parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their minor children's use of the Service.

3.4 Organizational Accounts

Club administrators who create organizational accounts represent that they have the authority to act on behalf of their organization and to bind the organization to these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Collect or harvest user data without authorization
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam)
• Upload photos or personal information of minors without proper parental consent

5. User Content and Media Uploads

5.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including photos, team logos, and other media ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

5.2 Photo and Media Consent

When uploading photos or images of individuals, you represent and warrant that:

• You have obtained appropriate consent from the individual (or their parent/guardian if the individual is a minor)
• The photos will be visible to authorized team members, coaches, and club administrators within your organization
• You have the right to upload and share such content

For photos of minors: By uploading a photo of a minor (person under 18 years of age), you confirm that you are the parent, legal guardian, or have obtained explicit consent from the parent or legal guardian for the photo to be stored and displayed within the platform to authorized members of your organization.

5.3 Content Visibility

User Content, including profile photos, is accessible to:

• Club administrators and coaches within your organization
• Team members and their parents/guardians
• League administrators (if your club participates in a league using our platform)

Photos are accessed via time-limited secure URLs and are not publicly searchable or indexed by search engines.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We are committed to compliance with applicable privacy legislation, including:

• PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) - Canada
• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) - European Union
• Provincial privacy legislation where applicable

7. Subscription and Payment Terms

7.1 Subscription Plans

Access to certain features of the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are available on our Pricing page.

7.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.

7.3 Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we may provide refunds at our discretion in cases of technical issues that significantly impair your use of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by League Meister and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without our written permission.

"League Meister" and our logo are trademarks of our company. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

9. Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

9.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention requirements. You may request an export of your data before termination.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, League Meister shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless League Meister, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

For users in the European Union: Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence. You may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and, where appropriate, by email notification.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
